Reach the Beach, MA
The Reach the Beach (RTB) Running Relay Race is one of the longest distance running relay races in the United States. Due to the success of 13 years and counting RTB, NH, the Mass race was developed out of numerous requests from participants and was hosted for the first time in 2011. The first year was a huge success and 2012 will be no different with an estimated 3,000 ready to participate.
Connecticut Law Enforcement Torch Relay
The Law Enforcement Torch Run® is Special Olympics' single largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle. The International Torch Run Program raises more than US $42.6 million a year for Special Olympics world-wide. More than 85,000 from 48 nations, 12 Canadian Provinces and 50 states carried the "Flame of Hope" raising awareness and funds for Special Olympics.
ASYMCA World Famous Mud Run
The Mud Run is a challenging 10K run with hills, tire obstacles, river crossings, two 5-foot walls with mud on both sides, tunnel crawl, slippery hill climb, and the final 30-foot mud pit. Along the course there will be 6 water points with race staff and medical personnel staged at each providing full support throughout the event.
Cal Ripken World Series
The Cal Ripken Major/70 World Series brings together the best 11 and 12-year-old baseball players from around the world. Ten teams from the United States earn their way into the event by traversing their respective tournament trails, and six international teams are invited to the event by the Babe Ruth League. Each team arrives in Aberdeen, MD intent on making their way to Championship Weekend, where they will have the chance to win a World Series title in the Cal Ripken Major/70 division of the Babe Ruth League!
